About the show:

Cabaret

Music by John Kander
Lyrics by Fred Ebb
Book by Joe Masteroff

Seeking new material, an American author comes to Berlin during the 1930s. There his entanglements with a smuggler bring him to meet a young singer at the famous Kit-Kat-Club.  The musical follows the couple against the dawning of a new political age in Germany.

The Statement Being Made -

A read through of the script or a viewing of the show will quickly tell you that Cabaret is not just about a nightclub. This is no fairytale romance. Its powerful message of the importance of political awareness and our place as performers on the stage of politics lives beyond its 1930s Berlin setting.  We are producing this to bring this message to today's audience, we are giving them the gift of awareness, of reality on stage.
